Black History Month
One-Pager Quilt Project
A one-pager is a collage of illustrations and written analyses on one page that make up an aesthetically pleasing and detailed interpretation of a subject. For this one-pager, you will be researching a famous Black American who has positively influenced history and you will create a graphic representation of your work to share with the class.
DIRECTIONS:
BELOW is a list of some of the most influential African Americans of all time. Choose one person to research and study. You should spend at least SIXTY minutes reading and brainstorming ideas before you begin decorating your page. Use a standard size piece of blank paper (8.5 x 11) or you may use a template provided for you.
Below is a list of what should be included on your page:

- FACTS #1-#8: Include EIGHT additional or more facts about the person that you’ve learned about that you have not already included
- Put YOUR NAME (FIRST AND LAST) in the bottom right corner-you DO NOT need core or date
- You must fill the entire page. You don’t want any empty space.
- Your page must be colored. It should be colorful and visually inspiring.* Use colored pencils or colored pens to display your own style. Do not use marker or sharpie.
- Your words on your one- pager should be done in black ink or dark pencil. If done in pencil do not color over it as it may blur and become unreadable.
